My pottermania!

I've been in heaven this past week reading my all time favorite book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! This is book 7 in the series (I've read all the others 3 or 5 times) and it's the best by far IMHO (in my Humble Opinion) . I had a countdown going for months, waiting on pins and needles, and I think it definitely lived up to my expectations. I'm almost done reading (I've been taking it slow because I don't want it to be over) so I can't tell you for sure but I think Harry lives ;0)

A glimpse into my life!

Ok so now that I figured out how to post videos I'm excited! Here's a little 3 minute glimpse into my life. I just wanted to capture on film Micah singing his abc's. I'm super proud of the little guy and he's so cute doing it that I just wanted like a 1 minute video of him singing, but nope nothing is ever that simple ;0)

Last week the Williams spent every morning from 9 -12:30 at musicamp. I was the drama teacher (teaching two classses) and Alorah had a solo in the production. Here is her performance in case you were unable to be there!

Croquet with Poppy

Papa D (Ev's dad) came by this afternoon for a visit with the kids. He arrived with a fun present, a croquet set. They promptly broke it out for a test run! I'm not sure anyone was playing by the true rules but they had a great time with Poppy and hitting the balls through wire hoops ;0)

New Cast

Isaiah got his new cast on Wednesday. We all trooped over to the orthopedist to help Isaiah (Dad even left work early), and much to our dismay it appears that Zaiah actually broke BOTH bones in his arm . . . the radius AND the ulna (sp?), thankfully nowhere near growth plates though. Zaiah had it in his mind that he wanted a silver cast but once he got there they didn't offer silver. SOOOO, he went with the much more exciting (in my opinion) glow-in-the-dark cast. They have to keep it above the elbow for the first three weeks but then they cut it off and put on a below the elbow cast for the last three weeks (I'm excited cuz that should cut down on the stinkieness). The only good thing to come out of all of this is that Alaina has decided her career goals, she would like to be an orthopenis when she grows up!

Spa Party

I had a super fun Party on Tuesday night with my family and best girlfriends over. We spa'd the night away with facials and foot treatments and hand massages, everyone left feeling like jello, all nice and relaxed. Here are some of my favorite pictures.

All the girls with their facemasks, Alorah too ;0)

Broken arm & a barbecue

Well today was an adventure. I worked in the house cleaning with the kids while Ev finished the yard. As soon as Ev was finishing up, Isaiah came into the living room crying hysterically.
His arm hurt, his arm hurt! He fell off his bed (BUNK BED) while making it and his arm hurt too bad to finish cleaning and could he please just lay down and watch a show. I explained that no he may not but I would gladly hold him until he felt better. After about 10 - 15 minutes the crying hadn't ceased and I noticed a large lump swelling on the side of his arm. I hadn't been too concerned up to that point because he could move his hand all around and wiggle all the fingers. After noticing the lump I promptly called the doctor.

"mama called the doctor
and the doctor said,
no more Zaiah's falling off the bed"

Sorry, too many years of singing that song, back on track now.
The doctor said to take him to an urgent care with x-ray capabilities. So Ev bundled him up around 2pm and headed over. Around 4 I got the call that it was indeed broken. Poor little guy! Then around 5 they pulled into the driveway at the exact time Mammy & Grumps pulled into the driveway for a BBQ. Our little trooper is in a sling and in great spirits! He enjoyed the bbq and his time with Mammy & Grumps but I could see his disappointment everytime he found something he couldn't do with a broken arm (like swim & play Nintendo DS). We gave him some pain meds for the night but we'll see how he does, might be a rough night ahead! Here are some pics of the broken arm & dinner . . .

Here's to good meals with family, it doesn't get any better than this . . . well maybe without the broken arm ;0)

Daddy & his helpers

Every Saturday morning Ev spends a couple hours out in the yard. Mowing, weeding, blowing, etc. Usually there are a few helpers out there with him. They LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to help daddy, and I love that he lets them participate not just rushing to get the job done. He's a good dad in so many ways!

4th of July

Every 4th of July Mammy and Grumps (Ev's mom & stepdad) have a parade through their neighborhood. All the kids bring out their bikes all decorated. Some of the adults paint their faces, on lady even dresses up like the statue of liberty. Our kids love to ride in the parade. The neighbors that aren't in the parade sit in their front yards and cheer the paraders on. It's all very cute. Ev and the three big kids participated this year and here are a few photos, thanks to Mammy:

the gym and face painting

We spent the morning at the gym today. Man it feels good. my whole body aches but it feels good. I did 1/2 hour on the elliptical, 1/2 hour swimming laps and then a water aerobics class. I was the only one in the pool under 70 and it was like social hour in the pool.

I thought it would be an easy workout, but halfway through she busted out with these paddles. You openthem for an easy workout and close them (so no water flows through) for a tough workout. My thought was that even though I'm just starting back at the gym I can handle some wimpy ol' closed plastic paddles. Big mistake, BIG! I should've opened them up. The rest of the class was floating around in the deep end chatting away while I was the only one in the class following the instructor. She must've been excited to have someone following her because man she served it to me. Whew, it even hurts to type. But I'll go back tomorrow ~ cuz it's the feel good kind of hurt.

After I changed clothes I went to pick up the kids. THey were on cloud nine because on of the kidz klub teachers did face painting!!! Here are the pictures (forgive the quality cuz it was just a quick snapshot)

Alorah got a rainbow,

And a shooting star on the other cheek ~ total girly choices!

Lainie got the American flag on one cheek,

And a beautiful pink flower . . .

Zaiah got the sun on one cheek and an octopus on the other.

I saved this one for last because it's my favorite. I love how the blue octopus matches the blue hair (which he styled by himself this morning) and the expression on his face is like "yeah, what's up, I know I'm cool"

New LO

Here's a new Lay out (LO) I just finished up (you can also view it in my gallery)

Journaling reads:

I love this picture I captured of you.
It was late May 2005 and the Bells came
over that morning to take pictures for
Fathers Day albums. It was chaos as usual
that morning and Mrs Bell still laughs out
loud remembering it all. While I was
shooting pictures of the girls you went
into the other room with a marker and colored
your whole forhead and nose. I scrubbed and
scrubbed but if you look closely at the picture
you can still see brown swirls. You also
plastered your head with hair gel. I think
I love this picture so much because
it captures you at three and a half.
Your wide eyed sweet innocence but if you
look hard enough you can see the
rascal you totally were. Boy did I have my
hands full with you and a baby too. Looking
back my memories are fond. Love you.
